Replicate initiatives and expand cooperation among themselves

These are the conclusions of the first meeting of the Committee on Humanitarian Issues, Economy and Investments of the Lviv Agglomeration. Specific cases on how to conduct effective educational initiatives, improve the quality of cultural events and activities in this area – and at the same time save every penny of community money allocated to these areas. The participants of the meeting shared examples of successful practices in communities and discussed and analyzed joint projects. After all, working together not only makes all efforts cheaper, but also follows the beaten path, supporting working practices. “Exchanging experience between communities and improving the skills of personnel is an important task in the humanitarian direction. That is why people in the committees of the Lviv Agglomeration are getting together and thinking about how to collectively improve life in our communities. We already have many examples of cooperation, we will generalize and disseminate them. “After all, this is far from the limit of our capabilities,” said Roman Kizima, executive director of the Lviv Agglomeration Association.

The Association already has specialized committees, which include representatives from each of the 10 communities of the Lviv agglomeration. The first meeting was dedicated to education not by chance. After all, Lviv educational projects were put into operation at the state level. As Andriy Zakaliuk, the head of educators of the Lviv community, said, we are talking about a program on national-patriotic education of high school students, when students undergo training in the created training centers – they learn to shoot, master pre-medical training. Now the ministry is taking this positive experience and implementing it throughout Ukraine.

The cooperation of the Lviv and Bibrka communities in the field of education is also indicative. Previously, the two communities officially concluded a bilateral agreement on municipal cooperation, which was ratified by the state. This is the municipal unit “Inclusive Resource Center of the Lychakiv District of Lviv”. Bibr children with special educational needs receive services there. Therefore, the next step will likely be the signing of similar agreements on cooperation in this area.

National and patriotic education of high school students and students in general was one of the top topics of discussion of the committee. After all, it is such training that lays the foundation for the future existence of the state. Therefore, the communities of the Lviv agglomeration are carefully analyzing this experience and will implement it in their educational institutions. “We see good examples and ideas that all communities can work on together. The communities have the opportunities and potential. There is also a desire to cooperate and a willingness to share experience,” noted Deputy Mayor Lyubomyr Zubach. – So the work in the committees must definitely continue, because in cooperation with neighboring communities we all become more successful.”

Representatives of the communities also spoke about their successful projects and suggested joining the collective in joint activities. In particular, 2025 has been declared the year of the outstanding Ukrainian composer and performer Igor Bilozir. Therefore, holding a festival in his honor will not only honor the memory of the artist and popularize his work, but will also contribute to strengthening ties between the communities of the Lviv agglomeration, expanding our artistic horizons. Previously, six art schools from Pustomyty, Shchyrets, Zymna Voda, Davydiv, Zvenyhorod and Oboroshyno participated in such a celebration. This year, the list of festival participants in the Lviv agglomeration will probably be even larger.
