As part of the work on the economic aspects of the development of the communities of the Lviv agglomeration, there is an opportunity for local agricultural producers (in particular, in the areas of berry growing, vegetable growing, horticulture, and livestock breeding).
Our partners from the Lviv Institute of Management, together with the Swedish University of Halmstad, have launched a project aimed at helping higher education institutions solve the problems of agricultural producers. But first of all, such needs need to be identified. Therefore, during February-March, the project is conducting questionnaires and in-depth interviews with farmers and small producers. Based on this, a list of problems (mainly of a technical nature) will be formed, for which the Swedish-Ukrainian team will develop solutions, in particular on the basis of the FabLab laboratory of the Swedish university.
After the successful implementation of the first phase of the project, an application will be submitted for a large project, which will have a chance to receive funding from the Swedish Institute (Swedish USAID), in particular for the implementation of the developed solutions for selected Ukrainian agricultural producers.
We agreed that special attention within the project will be paid to the communities of the Lviv agglomeration, where it is possible to achieve a synergistic effect from helping local farmers.
