The French agency for international technical assistance supports governments, local communities and organizations in the field of development, public administration and economic growth. (AFD).
The Lviv Agglomeration, the interaction of participants and ties between communities, the legislative framework and work during the war – all this interested the French. It is nice that foreign experts consider our association as a base for others in Ukraine.
A little more detail about the guests. Jean-Louis Rocheron is an international expert on local government who works with the French international technical assistance agency Expertise France. He specializes in issues of territorial organization of power and decentralization reforms. During the working visit of the delegation of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to France, Mr. Rocheron presented the French model of territorial organization of power, emphasizing the historical features and key aspects of the implementation of decentralization and deconcentration of power reforms in France. The RELEVE project, implemented by the French international technical assistance agency Expertise France, is aimed at supporting recovery and decentralization in Ukraine, in particular in the Chernihiv region. In addition, in June 2023, “The Resilience Space” was opened in Kyiv, which serves as a shelter for children and promotes the resilience of the most vulnerable segments of the population. Overall, RELEVE promotes multi-sectoral cooperation in the areas of mobility, agriculture, and innovation, with the ultimate goal of stimulating sustainable development and recovery in Ukraine.
