We continue to collect the opinions of young people on how to move forward in the future. After all, it is young men and women who will soon have to develop our communities and take responsibility. Together with students of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of Ivan Franko University, Iryna Telehiy, project manager of the executive apparatus of the Lviv Agglomeration Association, talked about the work of local governments and the Lviv Agglomeration Association.
In addition to governance, we also discussed other difficulties and advantages of living in the agglomeration. It is interesting that students very often mention transport troubles. For example, among the participants of the meeting were two female students from Velyky Lubin. So they actively shared their experience as residents of the agglomeration and getting around, because they travel to Lviv to study every day. It leaves much to be desired – this is how the young women describe the movement of passengers. So we have, as they say, opinions from below – and it will be interesting to hear them for the relevant officials. After all, cooperation of communities within the Lviv agglomeration is about developing the quality of life of residents, people’s comfort.
Meanwhile, we at the Association continue to conduct a dialogue with young people. Let us remind you that we recently had a meeting with students of the Lviv National University “Lviv Polytechnic”. We talked with the students about future projects, business development, community resources and their use, and population dynamics in the Lviv agglomeration and its comparative analysis with other metropolises. Earlier, the mayor of the Horodotsk community, Volodymyr Remenyak, and the director of the personnel management office of the Lviv City Council, Nataliya Alekseeva, got acquainted with the student perspective on the agglomeration. They met with third-year political science students of the Ivan Franko University.
The activity is carried out within the framework of the project “Strengthening good democratic governance in the Lviv agglomeration”, which is implemented by the Association “Lviv Agglomeration” with the grant support of the Council of Europe within the framework of the Program “Strengthening good democratic governance and resilience in Ukraine”.
