It is difficult to underestimate the tourist and transport potential of the Zhovkva urban community. The settlement was founded in 1368. Known as a city of artisans, in the 17th century Zhovkva was the residence of the King of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Jan III Sobieski. Therefore, there are many tourist and historical attractions here.

Zhovkva is 25 kilometers north of Lviv, 35 kilometers from the Ukrainian-Polish border. The city is at the crossroads of international highways to Poland and the Baltics. The Lviv-Rava-Ruska-Warsaw railway runs next to the highway.
