It is assumed that in ancient Russian times the village was called “Myto” and could have been a customs house on the border of the Przemysl and Zvenigorod principalities. Later, the area probably lost its former meaning when neighboring cities began to develop actively. The name “Pustomity” is derived from the phrase “empty toll”.
In addition to historical monuments, the nearby agro-tourism cluster “GorboGory” is interesting, created in 2017 on the initiative of local farmers, in particular ATO participants, local and regional authorities, scientific and educational institutions. There is a bicycle route: Pustomyty – Radvan – Semenivka – Miloshevychi – Vinyavi – old quarry – Khorosno – Rakovets. The path begins in the center of Pustomyty. Its second location is the Radvan farm – the center of the agro-tourism cluster “GorboGory” and the highest point of the route (320 m above sea level).
