Oleh Volskyi, Mayor of Zhovkva and a board member of the “Lviv Agglomeration” association, participated in the World Cities Summit and Mayors Forum held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) at the invitation of Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation.

The World Mayors Forum is held every two years, bringing together the leaders of over 600 cities from various continents—Latin America, Africa, Europe, and Australia. The event is one of the key international platforms for coordination, experience exchange, and development of cooperation among municipalities worldwide.
“I represented Ukraine, Lviv Oblast, the Lviv Agglomeration, and the Zhovkva community. As part of the Summit, I had the honor of speaking at an event organized by Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in the UAE. There, I presented our investment potential and regional attractiveness to Emirati partners interested in cooperating with us,” said Oleh Volskyi.

During the forum, the head of Zhovkva held a series of meetings with city mayors from around the world, which allowed outlining directions for further partnership and the implementation of joint projects.
Participation in the World Summit became another step in strengthening the international presence of the Lviv Agglomeration and confirmed the region’s role as an active partner on the global level, open to cooperation, innovation, and sustainable development.
